COMPETITION RULES

 A: GENERAL TERMS:

  1. The chain of golf tournaments “Pro Golf Bubbles”, organised by Pro Golf Sports Club aims at popularising the game of Golf among the the juniors, creating a competitive environment and supporting young golfer’s progress.
  2. All children and juniors under 21 years are allowed to participate.
  1. The chain consists of 4 major categories/divisions:
    • MAXI BUBBLES – players with handicap up to 8.0.
    • MIDI BUBBLES – players with handicap between 8.1 and 16.0.
    • MINI PLUS BUBBLES – players, aged 13 and above, with handicap above 16.0
    • MINI BUBBLES – players aged 12 and under (U12), with handicap above 16.0
  2. The Chain consists of at least 2 qualification rounds and one final round (Grand Final).
  3. Participation in the qualification and final rounds is open to everyone.
  4. Qualification rounds:
    • The qualification rounds are held each year between April and September.
    • The courses hosting qualification rounds is to be announced at lest 2 weeks before the event.
    • Registration for each competition is to be done by submitting the entry form at www.progolf.bg
    • The deadline for the qualification rounds is 5 days before the respective event.
    • The qualification rounds are held in one day over 18 holes for the MAXI, MIDI and MINI PLUS divisions and in one day over 9 holes for the MINI division in the respective formats (see below for the formats).
    • The entry fee for each of the competitions is complimentary from the organisers.
  5. Final round:
    • The final round (Grand Final) is to be held in October or November on one or two courses, announced at least 1 month in advance.,
    • Registering for the Grand Final is to be done via the electronic Entry Form on the website of the competition www.progolf.bg and ends up 5 days before the event.
    • The Grand Final is played in two days over 18 holes each day for MAXI, MIDI and MINI PLUS divisions and in 2 days over 9 holes each day for MINI division in the respective formats (see below).
    • The entry fee for the Grand Final is complimentary from the organisers.

B: FORMATS of PLAY:

  1. Division MAXI – participants play Gross Strokeplay over 18 holes (2х18 in Grand Final).
  2. Division MIDI – participants play Gross Stablefort over 18 holes (2х18 in Grand Final).
  3. Division MINI PLUS – participants play NET Stablefort over 18 holes off 36.0 HCP (2х18 in Grand Final)
  4. Division MINI – participants play NET Stablefort over 9 holes off 36.0 HCP (2х9 in Grand Final)

C: HANDICAPS AND DIVISIONS:

  1. Every participant is required to present an official handicap certificate.
  2. Every participant may choose to play either in the division  his/her handicap stipulates or in an upper one. (For Example – if a player has handicap of 15.6 he/she has the right to play in division MIDI, or he/she may choose to play in the upper division MAXI, which desire is to be marked down filling in the Entry form for his/her first tournament for the season).
  3. In case player’s handicap improves and he/she has to play in upper division, the participant moves there automatically and he/she must mark this in the next tournament entry form. (For example, in case the player’s handicap falls down from 15.6 to 7.3 between the 1-st and the 2-nd qualification rounds, the player participated in MIDI in the 1-st round must move to MAXI for the 2-nd).
  4. In case of handicap increase, the player will NOT move to a lower division. This will continue until the end of the chain for the respective year.
  5. Each player has the right to choose to play in a higher division only when registering for the first tournament of the year he/she participates in.
  6. Once decided on which division to play in a player cannot change his/her decision for this annual cycle, apart from the cases where the handicap change stipulates this.
  7. In the case of changing divisions, all points won in the previous division go with the player in his new division.

D: RANKING and POINTS SISTEM:

  1. Individual ranking for each qualification round in each division will be compiled, based on players results, as follows:
    • 1 place – 50 points
    • 2 place – 40 points
    • 3 place – 32 points
    • 4 place – 26 points
    • 5 place – 21 points
    • 6 place – 17 points
    • 7 place – 14 points
    • 8 place – 11 points
    •  9 place – 9 points
    • 10 place – 7 points
    • 11 place – 6 points
    • 12 place – 5 points
    • 13 place – 4 points
    • 14 place – 3 points
    • 15 place – 2 points
    • 16 place – 1 point
  2. The ties are to be decided as follows:
    • For 1-st, 2-nd and 3-rd place there will be a strokes or points count back on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes. The competitor with the better score gets advantage. In case of an absolute tie the winner will be the player with the lower personal handicap.
    • Players outside the first 3 places  will split equally the sum of the points appointed to their places, rounded properly.
  3. The players get points from the Grand Final tournament based on their ranking in the 2 days event according to the following table:
    • 1 place – 100 points
    • 2 place – 80 points
    • 3 place – 64 points
    • 4 place – 52 points
    • 5 place – 42 points
    • 6 place – 34 points
    • 7 place – 28 points
    • 8 place – 22 points
    • 9 place – 18 points
    • 10 place – 14 points
    • 11 place – 12 points
    • 12 place – 10 points
    • 13 place – 8 points
    • 14 place – 6 points
    • 15т place – 4 points
    • 16 place – 2 points
  4. The ties are to be decided as follows:
    • For 1-st, 2-nd and 3-rd place there will be a strokes or points count back on the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes. The competitor with the better score gets advantage. In case of an absolute tie the winner will be the player with the higher personal handicap.
    • Players outside the first 3 places will split equally the sum of the points appointed to their places, rounded properly.
  5. The final ranking in the chain is defined by the sum of the points won in player’s best qualification round and the points won in the Grand Final. The winner is the player with the largest number of pints.
  6. In the case of a tie after the final round:
    • For the 1-st, 2-nd and 3-rd places the advantage goes to the player with the better Grand Final ranking (points).
    • In case of an absolute tie the winner will be the player with the higher personal handicap.
  7. PRIZES:
    1. The first 3 places winners in each division in each qualification round and in the final round will be awarded with a tailor made medal.
    2. The final Winners in the Pro Golf Bubbles Chain in divisions MAXI and MIDI win trophies and a financing of participation in one international tournament in the coming year or an individual program training, provided by Pro Golf Sports Club.
    3. The winners in MINI and MINI PLUS divisions win a trophy and an individual program training, provided by Pro Golf Sports Club.

E: RULES CHANGES:

  1. Pro Golf Sports Club retains the right for making any changes in the rules on its consent.
